DescriptionHello to German speaking friends. Thanks all for your good quality. Please add to MLD the popular language and locale for USA (English US, en-US). Including USA locale, keyboards, character sets, time zones, etc. Similar to the USA defaults in Fedora or Ubuntu Linux. Have en-US show as option in the GUI menus and verbose boot menu, etc. You are the best. Thanks.

You can select the US timezone (and keyboard?) if you add the package "locales-timezones"
Please tell me, if this is enough for you, or if some further settings are needed.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Understand what you wrote. Please include English USA locales and timezones and charactersets etc as pre-installed in MLD. Make English and USA and timezones show in the GUI menus and verbose boot menu, etc. Without having the user manually adding locales-timezones package. Similar to the USA defaults in Fedora Linux. Hi. Thanks for your fast reply. Using the newest MLD (MLD-4.0.1-64_standard-shd). As you suggested, installed and activated the package "locales-timezones" and rebooted. That did not completely solve it.

The MLD menu item "en-US" (English USA) is missing from the setup language menu and verbose boot menu, etc. MLD only lists "en-GB" and "de-DE".

Please add to MLD the popular language and locale for USA (en-US). Including USA locale, keyboards, character sets, time zones, etc. Similar to the USA defaults in other distributions such as Ubuntu or Fedora Linux. And, please make sure the MLD GUI lists the English USA settings options.

You can test this to see for yourself. Thanks.

I will not do so, since we have only one (and with you two) US customers. I think it's OK for this one people to install the extra package.
But I will check, why you do not get the selection of en-US in the startup language menu, after add the additional language package.

Ok, as you want. Thanks for doing the inclusion of en-US in the startup language menu and verbose boot menu. Also, please do allow selection of popular keymaps for USA in addition to the German "de-latin1". Best regards. Thanks.

Note that en_US is missing from /usr/share/locale. The "locales-timezones" is installed.
