hi claus,

Quote
Activating KMS

First, make sure your kernel configuration has CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE enabled. Most sane configurations have it built into the kernel, but you can have it as a module (fbcon.ko), too. In that case make sure this module is loaded before or along with nouveau.ko. Otherwise your virtual console appears frozen.

With recent nouveau, KMS is on by default, unless you disable it with modeset=0 option.

hi claus,

habe grade etwas intressantes gefunden.

Code: [Select]

MLD-3.0.0_xorg-1.9.0.902_12.sfs
MLD>

kein xorg-ati!

nun xorg.log trotz failed load module r128:
Code: [Select]
43.789] (II) R128(0): Memory manager initialized to (0,0) (1280,3276)
[    43.789] (II) R128(0): Reserved area from (0,960) to (1280,962)

[    43.790] (II) R128(0): Using XFree86 Acceleration Architecture (XAA)

xorg-ati abgeändert in:
Code: [Select]
MLD> cat /etc/init.d/xorg-ati
#!/bin/sh
#
# load or unload usb filesystem drivers

case "$1" in
        start)
                . /etc/init.d/rc.functions

                echo "NOT Loading ati driver"
              ;;
        stop)
                . /etc/init.d/rc.functions

                echo "NOT Unloading ati driver"
              ;;
        restart)
                $0 stop && $0 start
              ;;
        init)
                start=1
              ;;
        *)
                echo "Usage $0 {start | stop | restart}" >&2
                exit 1
esac
MLD>

also das load modules komplett entfernt. nun

DRI = Direct Rendering Infrastructure
