System Fehlerhaft Nach Update

Ich habe gestern aus dem System heraus auf Updates checken lassen und im Halbschlaf "UpdateAll" gedrückt (Halbschlaf heißt, ich weiß nicht welche Updates liefen).
(Vorheriges Update vielleicht 14 Tage alt).
Jetzt fährt nur noch Linux hoch, komme auch auf die Shell, aber kein VDR  und Xorg.

Im Startprozess kommen u. a die Fehler, dass
DHPC client failed,
Mounting /etc/addons/MLD-3.0.1_kernel................... sfs on /var/spool/apm      failed
/etc/vdr/setup.conf.add    no such file

ich würde auf nen version mismatch tippen. hilfreicher wäre:

ls /etc/addons
und
cat /etc/addons/active

achja die xorg.log unter /var/log/ könnteste auch mal anhängen

p.p.s. das wichtigste addon fehlt -> backup

ehm: ich würde ja sagen OHNE mir jetzt alles genau angeschaut zu haben:

MLD-3.0.1_kernel-3.3.1.110_xorg-nvidia-304.43_83.sfs
MLD-3.0.1_kernel-3.3.1.132_cifs-0_16.sfs

110 vs 132 -> KABOOOM :-)

falls es danach noch fehler gibt schauen wir weiter :-)

achso: ok erklärung: du hast alles auf kernel 3.3.1.132 NUR nvidia nicht! das ist noch auf 110. das kracht natürlich! zudem kommt es noch hinzu da du auch ein addon vdr 1.7.31 hast und sonst nur 27? da muss wohl claus nochmal an die erkennung ran.

Ich denke die Erkennung passt wenn die aktuelle INITRAMFS drauf ist.

Meine Vermutung ... Bei der Masse an Updates wurde der Rechner zu früh neu gestartet?! Oder?

Zur Reparatur der MLD-3.0.1_kernel-3.3.1.110_xorg-nvidia-304.43_83.sfs:

Genügt es dazu, die MLD-3.0.1_kernel-3.3.1.132_xorg-nvidia-304.43_83.sfs

in /etc/addons zu kopieren?

Ohne jetzt alles gelesen zu haben, schau es auch so aus, als wurde das alsa Addon nicht korrekt heruntergeladen. Ein "apm u alsa -f" auf der Konsole sollte dieses beheben. Wieso es zu den nicht zusammenpassenden Versionen kommen konnte weiß ich nicht, außer halt wie bereits gemutmaßt, dass der PC zu früh neu gestartet wurde.

Das hast du ja schon in /etc/addons drinnen. Du mußt in der /etc/addons/active beim besagten Addon von 110 in 132 ändern.

Auch die initramfs wird beim update mit aktualisiert. Probleme mit dem Update gab's zuletzt vor ca. nem halben Jahr. Seit dem ist der letzte diesbezüglich bekannte Fehler behoben. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit das es an der initramfs liegt ist also äußerst gering. Was hingegen hin und wieder vorkommt ist, dass nen System neu gestartet wird bevor das Update angeschlossen ist. Leider fehlt bisher noch nen Mechanismus der in einem solchen Fall nen beschädigen des Systems verhindert.

Problem gelöst!

Es war tatsächlich so, dass die initramfs beschädigt war. Durch Neueinspielen in /boot und den Link von initramfs auf die eingespielte Datei, ging zunächst der Netzwerkzugang und der vdr-admin wieder. Nur kein Bild.
Das System "vergaß" beim Update sich zu erinnern, dass die xorg nvidia und alsa installiert waren.
Beides installiert - System läuft.
