Some questions on MLD on pi (From non German speaker!)
« Reply #15 on: November 13, 2014, 23:06:00 »
Yes, that's no problem. I have only forgot to automatically activate this funktion on installing the suspend Package.
You can activate it in the OSD at "System / VDR Setup / Miscellaneous / Min. user inactivity" by set up the time to power off.

Some questions on MLD on pi (From non German speaker!)
« Reply #17 on: November 13, 2014, 23:36:03 »
One question more, if i want to read some mpeg4 file or file, how could i do it on vdr? Is there a pluggin to read file?
I could not find it in record. :)

EDIT: i have got some problem from going to suspend and go out. The USB Tuner does not work sometimes after that.
Should i unload the module and load it again onn the option?

EDIT2: i have tested to reload the module for my tuner and it change nothing....
Here is what i see from log

In fact, it lost the USB TUner. And if i reboot it's not enouth to get it works again. I should turn of the pi to have it works again, or i have to put off my tuner and put it again and launch vdr again And then it works.
Where are the action done on shutdown?
in fact i think that if you unload the firmware it does not works after.

EDIT3: the suspend action is here:
cat /sbin/suspend

I will take a look to see what should be done.

EDIT4:
I have test the resume option to see.
Quote
/etc/init.d/rc.init resume
/etc/init.d/dvb: line 48: can't open /var/spool/suspend.dvb: no such file

I don t know if it's related????

Some questions on MLD on pi (From non German speaker!)
« Reply #18 on: November 14, 2014, 09:48:09 »
Hi,

there is a special suspend handling in the dvd package. Actually I think this is not needed on the RPI. Please try, if it helps, if you deactivate it by remove the two lines "resume=1" and "halt=1" in the file /etc/init.d/dvb

I will test it.
Thank's.  :)

One more question, is there a way on vdr to read some file? Is there a file browser or something like that? I do not found a way to read some file that i put on the dd.

To read mpeg2 file, or mpeg4 or ts file that i put on it (not Rec file).

Is there a way?

Yes and no. This should be possible with the play vdr plugin. But this plugin will need a patch (to use the omx player) and I do not have add it already.

But the omx player is already available if you will test it by command line.

Thank's that was what i was thinking after take a look and see one with mplayer. :/
I will take a look to see the source code of the pluggin.

EDIT: i have take a look of the src of the plugin, and i have no idea of how to patch it....
If you could do it it could be good. But if it need a lot of time it could be too long. :/

EDIT2: do you think that this help?

Could you try to had it? :)

EDIT: do you think that the pi could display mpeg2 video (tnt SD) without hardware accélération?
(to whatch some rec that has been rec from other computer).

In fact, it seems that it exist a mplayer that could support OpenMax gpu hardware acceleration.
I found that:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34884188

It would be a better solution to have mplayer for the pi if it is possible.

Some questions on MLD on pi (From non German speaker!)
« Reply #29 on: November 15, 2014, 13:52:31 »
I forget to report a small small bug.

The context: to configure the pi, i connect it to ethernet, it get an ip from dhcp in X.X.X.12.

Then after all is ok, i configure the wifi.
It get an ip X.X.X.14.

But when i boot the pi unplugged from the lan, so with the X.X.X.14, a notification on boot says that "the web server is running on X.X.X.12".
So with the previous ip, it does not get the last.  It's a minor problem so nothing important, but has i saw it.... ;)
