[MLD 5.4 testing] Some VLC Skins
« on: December 12, 2019, 16:19:06 »

Hi,
I have a weird bug regarding vlc native skin, toolbar controls icons for (play/next/previous/stop ...etc) are missing.
Therefore, i installed some vlc skins which i want to share with you.
The below screenshot is just an example but there are 4 skins included.
I apologize if the included skins are old or you guys are using them already.
Here is the download link

I have an off topic question though.
Any idea why MLD desktop display doesn't show grabbed screenshots properly if i use Intel driver?

On the other hand it works fine using Nvidia driver.

That is because not every driver supports grubbing of video (OSD) content.
If you need an OSD in the Webif, please use the restfulapi plugin. Than you can select it at the welcome screen of the webif.

Hi Claus,
restfulapi plugin is fine but i want to grab video + OSD not OSD only.
How come live plugin is able to grab video + OSD using Intel driver?
Intel driver is able to grab video in Webif but the displayed picture has a very poor quality.
I noticed that /tmp/tv.jpg is less than 750 bytes ... could that be the reason?
What is the size of /tmp/tv.jpg in your Nvidia setup?

You can call "svdrpsend.sh GRAB" to get a a screenshot in better quality. The MLD webif calls it with additional options to get it in the needed resulution.

MLD> svdrpsend.sh GRAB /tmp/test.jpg
Unfortunately, /tmp/test.jpg is 1kb
So,it's the same issue with webif  /tmp/tv.jpg is less than 1kb ~ 750 bytes
That's why grabbed screenshoot looks as follows

By the way, i'm aware of that problem since MLD 5.3 but i didn't report it, it occurs if you use an Intel driver.
Any other suggestions?

Okay, i understand.
But i'm not sure if it's caused by intel or opengl driver
Because when i use nvidia i use vdpau driver so it's work fine.
Thanks Claus.
