Raspberry PI / No network after mld 5.4 post-install reboot on rpi2

Hi

I tried various versions of mld 5.4 (last from 10/9/18) and my mld box becomes unreachable after reboot. I managed to have an xterm and type ifconfig which confirms there is no ip assigned. Just after install, there is no network problem, until I reboot. No particular problem in dmesg except a bunch of errors related to cpu frequency changes in rpi.

Any idea ?

Hi

Yes it helped  :D It was actually the new firmware. After some extensive tests, I did a fresh install with mld stable, just replacing the new firmware with the old one, and it's OK now. Thank you all !

Raspberry PI / Firmware update (2016) seems to cause judder in videos
« on: February 27, 2016, 22:11:29 »
Hi

I use a rather standard config : vdr + dvb-t device on the pi and an nfs server for storage. If Kodi (or omxplayer) is installed on the image, I could directly test with my videos.

If you don't mind posting somewhere an image that matches more or less my needs, I'd be grateful to you.

Raspberry PI / Firmware update (2016) seems to cause judder in videos

Hi

I forgot to mention I use the RPI2 composite output with a good old CRT PAL TV, this probably explains why nobody experiences this issue.

I tested various versions of firmware found here https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/releases without success.
So my problem doesn't seem to be related with the firmware in itself. (kernel ? omxplayer ? libraries ?)

Unfortunately, I recently did a fresh re-install of MLD (due to some update authentication bug) and have no snapshot of my old working config (around late november/december) Was even stupid enough to delete my sd card backup !

Raspberry PI / Firmware update (2016) seems to cause judder in videos

Hello

Since last firmware update(s) in january 2016, I experience judder in some videos, especially .mp4 made with HandBrake (avi files seem OK)

Those videos play normally as long as you don't seek/fastforward into the file, otherwise the video continuously judders.
Mplayer/omxplayer and Kodi give the same result, even on internet stream. It's really bothering.

It seems that there was no problem with the 2015 firmware.

Do you have the same issue ? Is it possible to revert to the old firmware ?

Thanks for helping

Thank you, it did the trick. I know why I didn't get upgrades for quite some time now  ;)

I use the testing branch and libraspberrypi0 is already installed.

Code: [Select]
MLD> apt-get install libraspberrypi0

libraspberrypi0 is already the newest version.
