Will NOT reboot or Shutdown
« on: November 22, 2017, 15:43:21 »
I was using 5.0 for a while now because if I upgrade to 5.1, computer will not reboot or shutdown, I tried Clean installs of 5.1 and 5.3 and it hangs up and Will NOT Reboot or shutdown no matter what, I have to unplug or hold power button to Shut Down manually. This is what I am using

https://www.gigabyte.com/Mini-PcBarebone/GB-BXBT-2807-rev-10#ov

Any ideas as to why this has been a problem since 5.1 came out?? And can you Fix this? If you need any log files, let me know, will be happy to help anyway I can because 5.3 appears to be much better, just can't shutdown or reboot.

Thanks.

Please create a Debug-Log after a shoutdown don't work, and before you power off the system by holding the power button. Prefered with the MLD-5.4 unstable.

OK, I installed 5.4 testing and computer shuts down and reboots like it should.

Softhddevice does NOT work,log says vaapi version unsupported.

and now my remote does not work right, I have always added a rule to eventlircd.names.rules and an evmap in the proper directory.

When I add the rules most of the buttons quit working, and it breaks the keyboard also if hooked up,no enter or back. if I comment out the rules specific to my remote, most of the buttons work as they should but no volume or guide or menu works.

This has worked in every version for quite a while now, works perfect in 5.0,5.1,5.3 on my raspberry or computer????

this is the rule:

ATTRS{name}=="PAREX MEDIA 9708 REMOTE", \
  ENV{eventlircd_enable}="true", \
  ENV{eventlircd_evmap}="parex_media_9708.evmap"

and the evmap:

KEY_KPASTERISK                         =KEY_VOLUMEUP   #volume up
KEY_KPSLASH                            =KEY_VOLUMEDOWN   #volume dn

You have to try unstable for vaapi. I am Not Sure If all the Changes for it Hit the Testing Stage.

Make Sure that xorg-intel IS installed insted of xorg-drivers

Lirc is another Problem - maybe all Keys are now supported but With different names.
But i Hope Claus can Help you with IT

Regards
